The issue of selection errors in recruitment decisions at private higher education institutions

Abstract: The purpose of this subject is to explore the issue of selection errors in recruitment decisions at private higher education institutions in South East Asia. This study focuses specifically on the issue in terms of four types of person – environment fit (PE): person- job, person organisation, person-group and person supervisor fit. The paper critically analyses the symptoms of and consequences to selection errors in recruitment decisions as well as provides practical solutions for organisations to resolve the issue.
