Abstract
The rapid expansion of e-commerce and the
increasing digitalization of commercial banking have transformed India’s
economic landscape. This conceptual paper examines how trust, technology, and
customer experience together influence consumer participation in the digital
financial ecosystem. Using secondary data and theoretical models such as the
Technology Acceptance Model and Relationship Marketing Theory, the study
highlights the role of commercial banks in fostering trust through secure
payment systems, transparency, and innovation. It emphasizes that trust remains
the cornerstone of digital transactions and that integrating banking
reliability with e-commerce platforms can create a sustainable,
customer-centric digital economy. The paper concludes by presenting a
conceptual framework linking banking technology, consumer trust, and digital
experience, offering insights for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners
in building a trust-based digital India.
