Assessing the impact of motivation on employee job satisfaction and performance: the case of tema general hospital

Abstract
The study assesses the impact of motivation on
employee job Satisfaction and performance at the Tema General hospital. The
descriptive research design was adopted to ascertain the relationship between
motivation, job satisfaction, employee performance and job satisfaction and
employee performance. The study population was all the health work force at
Tema General Hospital. The simple random sampling was employed to collect data
from 124 respondents. Statistical Package for Social Science version 23 was
employed for data analysis. The regression analysis revealed a significant
relationship between the motivation and job satisfaction. Additionally, a
positive and significant relationship was found between motivation and employee
performance. Recommendations for managers and directions for future studies
have been presented.
