Abstract
E-commerce has been playing a pivotal role in
shaping the supply chain management practices in India. With the rise of
Internet penetration and digital transformation, e-commerce has emerged as a
key driver for growth and efficiency in the supply chain sector. The
integration of online platforms with traditional retail channels has
revolutionized how businesses operate in today’s dynamic market environment.
One of the major impacts of e-commerce on supply chain management is
streamlined procurement processes. By leveraging technology, companies can
easily connect with suppliers and negotiate prices, thereby reducing costs and
improving overall efficiency. Moreover, e-commerce provides real-time
visibility into inventory levels which helps to optimize stock levels and avoid
unnecessary stock outs or surpluses. In addition to procurement, e-commerce
also offers significant improvements in logistics management. The use of
advanced analytics tools enables companies to make data-driven decisions
regarding warehousing locations, transportation routes, and delivery schedules.
